He is a passionate and experienced Board-Certified Behavior Analyst based in Hampton, Virginia, whose journey into Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) began during his tenure as an Emergency Medical Provider for Sentara. This foundational experience led him to become a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), where he developed a lifelong commitment to helping individuals with disabilities reach their full potential. Delonte’s leadership in the field is extensive; he serves as the CEO of ABAzing, the Founder of IntakeOff, and the dedicated CEU Chair for the Black Association of Behavioral Analysts. His professional expertise is supported by a solid educational background, including a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Old Dominion University and a master’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis from Capella University. Throughout his career, Delonte has worked with diverse populations across center-based, in-home, and consulting environments. He is highly skilled in early intervention, social skills development, and functional communication, with a specialized focus on addressing severe behaviors. He utilizes a variety of evidence-based assessments, such as the VB-MAPP, ABLLS-R, and PEAK, to design and implement effective interventions. Beyond direct clinical service, Delonte has supervised numerous individuals pursuing RBT certification and has mentored various behavior specialists and technicians. He remains deeply committed to promoting scientifically-based procedures and evidence-based practices that measurably improve the lives of his clients. Driven by a mission to foster meaningful behavior change and enhance quality of life, Delonte emphasizes collaboration and evidence-based decision-making to empower the individuals he serves. Hi, I’m Promis. My journey with ABAzing has allowed me to grow from Lead Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to Administrative Assistant and now Office Manager, giving me a deep understanding of both the clinical and family sides of ABA. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and am currently completing my Master’s in Applied Behavior Analysis with an Autism Specialty, with the goal of becoming a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) very soon! I am passionate about understanding behavior, support, and meaningful change.
